Human Rights During War

German-Polish-Turkish-Ukrainian youth encounter

The topic "Human Rights at War?!" focused on one aspect of the broad topic of human rights which is apparently obvious. People are killed, injured, displaced, robbed, discriminated against to just mention a few human right abuses people suffer in times of war. At the same time troops which have been sent were declared as protection of the civil society and human rights. The project helped to discuss the topic of human rights in a very definite form relating to the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The various backgrounds of project participants reflected different national perceptions of human rights. The results were performed artistically by a theatre play and videos.
